Export Processing Zones Authority (EPZA) is a State Corporation established by the Government of Kenya through an Act of Parliament, The Export Processing Zones Act (Cap 517 of the Laws of Kenya) for the promotion and facilitation of export oriented investment and for the development of an enabling environment for such investments.Pursuant to this objective, the Company is seeking to recruit highly motivated visionary, dynamic and results oriented candidates to fill the undermentioned positions:

  1. 1.General Manager-Operation & Investor Support, Ref: EPZA/01/2017 (4 years Contract) 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The job holder reports to the Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for formulating and implementing investor support strategies, policies, regulations and guidelines for effective investor Support, Operational Facilitation, Statutory Compliance, Industrial Relations and Regional Management of the EPZ Programme and investors.  The key result areas will include; 

Lead in the review of the Divisional Strategic Plan and operational plans; identify, examine, analyses and initiate review of policies touching on Operations and Investor Support.; ensure EPZ Enterprises comply with relevant Kenya Laws in their operations; ensure implementation of work Plan for the Division; develop linkages and partnerships with different Government Agencies, County Governments and other Institutions for effective investor support facilitation; oversee Advocacy role in investor support facilitation; plan and co-ordinate annual EPZ Investor forums; lead the development, expansion and growth of the EPZ programme in the Regions; oversee Pre-investment and post Investment facilitation for  EPZ Investors; ensure sound management of Public Zones 

Required Qualifications and Experience 

The candidate must hold;

 

  • a.Masters or MBA in Strategic Management/Marketing/International Business/Project Management/Finance/Operations Management/Logistics
  • b.Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management/Economics/International Business/Marketing/Operations Management/Logistics
  • c.Professional Diploma in Management/Marketing/Logistics (e.g. MSK, CIM, etc.), Membership of Relevant Professional Association/Societies/Bodies e.g.  KIM, MSK, PRSK.
  • d.Twelve (12) years relevant work experience, eight (8) served at senior management/leadership level in a busy corporation/company.
  1. 2.General Manager-Investment & Corporate  Communication, Ref:  EPZA/01/2017 (4 years Contract) 

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The job holder reports to the Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for the Brand Development, Product Development, Marketing, Investment Promotion, Project Appraisal and Analysis and Corporate Communications functions of the Authority.  The key result areas will include the following; 

Formulating business growth strategies by planning, executing and overseeing the investment promotion functions leading to sales of the EPZ products/services to potential Investors. This function is undertaken in a coordinated way such that the marketing and sales, functions leads to attraction and retention of EPZ Projects/Investors and thus leading to sustainable business for the Authority; handling the Corporate Communication function involved with conceptualization, planning and execution of EPZA’s Corporate Communications Strategy so as to ensure that the public and stakeholders know, understand, appreciate and support the role of the Authority as an Investment Promotion Agency and a catalyst in the socio-economic development of Kenya. 

Required Qualifications and Experience  

The candidate must hold;

  • a.Masters or MBA in Strategic Management/Marketing/International Business/Project Management/Finance
  • b.Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management/Economics/International Business/Marketing
  • c.Professional Diploma in Marketing (MSK or CIM), Membership of Relevant Professional Association/Societies/Bodies e.g.  MSK, PRSK

INTERNSHIP POSITIONS

 

Export Processing Zones Authority  is inviting applicants for an internship programme that will run for  a maximum of three (3) months . The programme will provide an opportunity to current students  from Universities and Colleges  to gain meaningful work experience that will complement their studies and help them gain access to the labour market.

•    Water /Civil /Electrical Engineering

•    Finance ,Accounting and Administration

  • Human Resource Management 
  • Procurement
